Dumpster Diving

It is amazing what you can find just sitting on the side of the road surrounded by trash. It is also amazing how giddy I get when I find something.

James and Luke both LOVE our new tractor. John helped us wheel it home last night, and James has been asking to go outside and play with it all day today.

This is another find I had a few weeks ago. Our good friend caught me in the act, and I think he got a good chuckle out of my strange behavior.
But what can I say, when I get smiles like this it makes it all worth it.

Side note: I was actually pleasantly surprised that James was not affraid of the tractor after his aversion to them in Dinsey's Car movie. Although he does like to tip it over, like they do in the movie. "Tractor fall down! Tractor sleep!"

Katherine Klegin Photography

Love her! Check out some pictures from our recent photo shoot with our good friend Katherine here.

I also stole two of my favorites of Luke from her site. The first one makes me tear up with joy, the second makes me giggle every time! I still can't believe he is a toddler...where did the time go?

Whoa nellie!

Picture this....I am sorting through things in the "office" in our basement. The two boys are happily playing, Luke is in the office with me and James is in the playroom down the hall. Luke giggles and crawls out of the room. I assume he just went to see James. Suddenly I realize it is far too quiet...I walk out the door and turn to see LUKE ON THE STAIRS. What?

Someone said that children wear out their mothers faster than their shoes.
So true! I have never been so joyful yet so exhausted. It just keeps getting better!

Nap

Today James didn't want to nap. After the third escort back to his room, Daddy told him that he could play quietly if he didn't want to nap but he had to stay in his room. We checked on him an hour later and found this...

Guess he was a little more tired then he thought he was.
