Energy

Today was a cold winter day. Bitter cold. And I had a house full of creatures that were about to go stir crazy. So we did the only thing we could think to do....we ventured outside into the chilly winter air.
Good thing we all bundled up because brrrrrrr was it cold.

But it allowed us to get the dogs outside and give them room to run!

Who are we kidding, it also gave James room to run!

Even Luke got to stretch his legs.
Now everyone is tired and sleeping sound. GREAT Success!

Scenes from Christmas Morning

Zion and Clover, always together, always into mischief.
Luker by the tree. He loved opening presents, but would quickly discard the actual present to play with the wrapping.
Except, he loved one of Daddy's stocking stuffers.
James was busy making sure we had opened all the presents.

Merry Christmas!

Chateau House

We had so much fun creating these snow covered gingerbread houses. James had the best technique. One candy for the house, two for my mouth. Genius really! And Luke could not get enough gum drops. Uncle Robert played Christmas carols, while Auntie Stephanie, Cousins Maggie and Charlie, and Grammy all snacked on candy and decorated the houses. Grammy nicknamed her gingerbread creation the "Chateau Ghetto" because we added candy bars to the windows. Good times!

Thank you so much Auntie Stephanie for bringing all the goodies. We are busily snacking on candy and admiring the beautiful houses! Merry Christmas!

Best Present Ever

Luke got the best present ever...a cardboard box with bubble wrap. Why oh why do we spend money on toys when what they really want is a box?

Family Christmas picture. Uncle Mowg and Auntie Julia joined us for a quick Christmas celebration en route to sunny California. Grammy left the sunny California weather to experience our snow storm. We loved having everyone together, even if it was only for one night!

James is crazy about his present too...a set of the Tarrytown Airport planes. Hooray for Jay Jay! He wants to play with these first thing when he wakes up, and is begging for just a few more minutes to play before bedtime.

Let it Snow!

Ok, who ordered the snow? Oh right, John did. Looks like mother nature gave John his wish for a "white Christmas". We are experiencing blizzard conditions and it is supposed to snow ALL day.

James and John all bundled up.
Our deck has a very nice layer.

Let it snow, let it snow, let it SNOW!

*******************************************************
Update on the snow....yup it is still snowing. Now check out our deck.

Zion had a ball running around our front yard while John shoveled our walk. He bounded from snow drift to snow drift, sometimes all we could see were he ears and the tip of his tail.

John and James in the blizzard, having a grand time!

Ok, I think we have enough. Time for the snow to stop!

I So Sweet!

Some funny things James has been saying lately:

"I so sweet!" (said as he is tackling Luke)
"Daddy, pick you up. Want turn light on!" (he still loves to turn on lights)
"James no go outside. No get feet wet." (still doesn't like his feet wet either)
"James funny!" (says while laughing like a hyena)

And he has been calling the dog a seal and thinking he is hilarious. It is kinda catchy, wonder how long it will take for Zion to respond to seal rather then his usual puppy doggy.

What's Luke saying? He has a few words....Mama, bottle, baby, and something that sounds like gwee gwee that he always says to Zion. Might be the start of puppy...not sure. He also knows the sign for "all done" and "up". Although usually he just grunts and point, just like James did at this age.

Tall White Man Song

As promised....the "tall white man song" and "tall black man song". Not only is there dancing, I think there is also some sort of singing. Clearly, my children have American Idol written all over them!

Random Monday Blatherings

A little something to spice up the blog. Yesterday I splurged on a bottle of Diet Dr Pepper Cherry. Strange because I was pretty sure it would be too sweet. But then again I LOVE all things artificially cherry flavored AND I saw probably 500 adds for it during the SEC Championship game on Saturday. And you know what....it is great! Go try it for yourself!

In more important news, the boys have both been fascinated by the dog door recently. James loves to escape to the back yard and Luke likes to throw toys outside for James to retrieve.

I was starting to get a little worried that I would find them both outside one day...but then it snowed. And now James has no interest in going outside in the cold, especially without shoes or a jacket. Luke still thinks it is funny to throw toys outside, but his little hands get cold fast.

Coming soon video of James dancing to the "tall white man song". If you are lucky you may also get to see the "tall black man song". I know, you can hardly wait with a teaser like that!

Smoothie Monday's

Mondays are now going to be smootie days for the boys. We have a Robek's close by that will give you a free child's smoothie with a regular smoothie purchase. Really fun and really yummy.

Luke really enjoyed his. As you can see.

Why no pictures of James? Because he crushed his entire smoothie on the 6 minute drive home from the smoothie store.

James was really cute this morning as he and I were cuddling in bed waiting for Luke to wake up. "Mommy, me want Luke to wake up. James wake up. James rest with Mommy." Suddenly we hear Luke start to talk through the baby monitor. "LUKE AWAKE!!!!! Hurry Mommy, need get Luker! " He then proceeds to jump out of bed, stomp down the hall and throw open Luke's door. I hear the two of them in there giggling as I pull myself out of bed. Love these sweet brothers!
