Pumpkins!

Here we are making a trip to our local pumpkin playground. Luke loved drumming on the pumpkins. James loved the tunnels and stairs. Roasted peanuts for John and a Vanilla Carmel cream soda for me. I love this time of year!

Addicted

Earlier this week I began developing a craving for Coke Zero around lunch time. Every day without fail. Later I discovered that I had been drinking decaf coffee all week too. Guess my body really needs that dose of caffeine everyday to keep up with my cute boys. Plus, coke zero bottles make a fun toy!

Luke loving his tonka truck! He is just learning how to scoot himself around on it. Very fun!

Can't wait for our next shipment of coffee to arrive! No more of this decaf nonsense.

We make party!

Today James and Luke got to spend all afternoon with three very beautiful girls. That's right, John and I were totally out numbered. Surprisingly it was easier then we anticipated. We had a blast!

Fiesty Boys

We have had a couple of traumatic moments this past week that James cannot stop talking about. The first was a couple nights ago in the tub. James was really embarrassed when he tinkled in the tub. Really embarrassed. Now he is blaming the whole event on Zion. "Puppy needs a bath. Puppy pee pee in the bath."

The second was last night when he bonked his head on the mailbox. He did hit it pretty hard and got a good scratch. All morning he has been telling me it was the mailbox's fault that he bonked his head. "James bonk head on mailbox. Bonk head! Mailbox fault. So sad."

And finally he has had an ongoing obsession with the Disney moving Cars. (see his current favorite pjs in picture) He requests to watch this movie every day, and I usually let him watch a few minutes as a treat if he is a good boy. There is a scary part of the movie where McQueen and Mater are chased by a bull (grain thresher) after tipping over the cows (tractors). James hates that part. Before I even can press play he is already telling me "Car movie! NO BULLS. NO TRACS." So if I don't really want him to watch TV I can just turn on that part of the movie and he will turn off the TV himself. Is that bad?

Here is Zion with his new best buddy. Luke is purposley feeding him. Zion loves it and Luke giggles the whole time. Very cute. Although when I scolded Luke for feeding the puppy (not really a habbit I want him to have) he gave me this face:
Guess I need to work on my scolding voice.

Zion's Best Vacation Ever

This past weekend we went up to Ithaca, New York to visit with Uncle Mog and Auntie Jul. We had the best time and really packed a lot of fun activities into our 2 days. Zion was so excited to come with us, and even more excited when he saw Clover. He has been asleep recovering all week. James loved Uncle Morgan, especially the liquid nitrogen ice-cream and the apple donuts. Luke enjoyed snuggles with Auntie Julia and especially loved her orange sweater. What fun!

Pandas, Flamingos and Boogers

We went to the zoo last weekend and saw our favorites, the panda bears and the flamingos.

Luke really wanted to check out this panda bear.
James looking like he is thinking about doing something naughty.

Sweet boy posing with panda bear.
Both boys watching the flamingos...well at least one boy is looking.

This morning James and I had a lovely conversation, it went something like this:

James: Ma eat! (holding his finger up to my face)
Me: What is it? (thinking we were playing pretend)
James: MA EAT!
Me: Yum yum. What is it?
James: Booger. Ma eat James' booger.
Me: (Speechless. And yes upon closer inspection there was a booger perched on his finger.)

Yum Yum Yum Yum

Yesterday the boys were so good we had a little treat at lunch time. Trader Joe's organic lollipops to be exact. They were tasty! Luke would get almost giddy when he got his licks. Then he would be very upset until he got his next one.
Those eyes are saying "You better not take this away again
Mommy!"

And here is James really taking his time to savor his treat.

I thought this video was cute. James has never said "yum yum" so many times about any other food!

And here is strong Luke standing and smiling! He can stand for a long time against a table to play and loves it. And yes he is wearing pjs and boots...that's how we roll in this house.

Boys and Girls

This past weekend we got to meet up with some of our favorite little ladies. Luke was very enamored with Madelyn and Katie. I think he even tried to stand up and sit a little taller, just to impress them.

This is how the three big kids spent most of their time. Popsicles in hand and watching a movie. Then once they were sufficiently sugared up they ran around and giggled together. It was so cute to watch!

The girls were so sweet with Luke!
And we finally got to meet beautiful baby Isabelle. She was such a sweet girl and a great snuggler!
James and Katie enjoying their popsicles. Yum!
Madalyn looking prettier every day!

Let's get together again soon!

Bed Tent

James LOVES his new Thomas the Train bed tent. Didn't even know they made such a thing until I found it on Craig's List. Mommy loves a great bargain.

Boys, Muffins and Big Boy Bed

My boys are growing up...all three of them! I think Luke looks just like my grandfather in this picture. He is getting so old...I can't believe he will be one in October! James is in his second favorite shirt, SUPERMAN shirt.

Quiz time. I made muffins the other day, banana muffins. Between the three of us we ate 7 muffins. How many do you think each of us ate? Hint I only had 2.

Last night James slept in his big boy bed for the first time. The transition was quick and without any preparation or pep talks. This quick transition was due completely to Luke's sudden ability to sit up and throw himself out of his crib yesterday. Hooray that Luke is getting stronger every day....sad that I found him on the floor of his room screaming. Good thing we were thinking ahead and already had ordered this twin mattress! I still can't believe Luke was strong enough for such acrobatics.

Proud James on his new bed. The Thomas the Train sheets really helped him get super excited last night...and he slept the whole night without incident...at least that I heard.
