Buy Food, Eat Food

Some of Luke's fun phrases:

Buy FOOD! (said whenever we mention going to the store)

Buy food, eat food!

Love food!

Do you sense a pattern here? And just for fun, a picture of Luke and Uncle Robert (Uncle Rabo). Love this sweet Luker!

Adventures in Sledding

Have I mentioned how much James is loving the snow this year? It just keeps getting better. John bought a sled last night, and already he and James have been out twice today to brave the hills. If it were up to James he might never have come back inside. I mean, who needs food or naps or potty breaks?

He could not stop smiling. This kid likes speed.
My sweet Luke is not a big fan at all. This snow stuff is for the birds. But he can be coerced out if he is snuggled by mommy.
But look who I found on the sled when we finally came back inside.

I hope this snow lasts, because we are loving all this time outside!

Sunday Best

Here are James and Luke all dressed up and ready for church. (Note, Luke brought a friend along.)

James loved his blazer, and insisted on wearing it the entire time at church.
Luke, my sweetie pie.

I feel like time is just flying by recently. We are blessed.

Doncha wish your kid was cool like mine?

James Morgan Turner
Reigning Angry Birds Champion
3-5 year old Moppets

James is the reinging champion of the Angry Birds competition of Moppets. What's Moppets? The childcare while I am at my "Mother of Preschoolers" (MOPS) meeting. Let's not dwell on the fact that he is playing games on someone's phone during childcare without parental approval. Rather, let's focus on the more important fact that this kid has some talent!

Exploring

We explored the Natural History museum this weekend. These two loved exploring. Notice Luke brought along a buddy and James insisted on wearing his gloves all morning long.

Froggie went all through the museum, crawling on the floor, wiping the windows, along the banisters.....oh boy. Germophob mommy couldn't wait to get that thing in the wash.
James didn't want Luke to eat his snack. Luke, meanwhile, had no interest and fed most of his to daddy.
A little walk around the national mall rounded out a really fun morning. Here are my little "twins". Seriously, Luke you are one tall guy!
Speaking of my youngest and his amazing height....I was checking out his friends in his Sunday school class. He was taller then most of them while he was knealing. So he towers over EVERYONE when he stands. Doesn't seem to bother him any, plus as an added bonus he can reach the snack tray when no one else can. James, on the other hand, does not want to leave when we come to get him. He actually tried to run back into his classroom as we were leaving. These boys keep us on our toes!

Chicken Dinner

Winner, winner, chicken dinner! Thanks for humoring me and playing along. Christina, Emily and Aunt Paula keep an eye on your mailbox, your prize is on the way.

The boys have been growing up really fast lately.

Luke loves his big brother and imitates everything he does. James in turn wants to sit next to Luke at the table and moves his chair when I am not looking. Inseperable. So cute!

Snowball fight

This little boy loves snowball fights!
This little boy is not a big fan.
It's hard to catch James. He loves the snow.

And this guy is easy to catch. Pick me up please!
So glad we got out to enjoy our snow, it was gone by the afternoon. Hooray for snow!

It's 2011?

Happy New Year everyone! I feel like it kinda snuck up on us this year. So in celebration of this new year, a quiz and a question.

First, the quiz. Below is James' first family portrait. He came up with this idea all on his own and is so proud to have it hanging in our dinning room. So can you guess who is who? Winner gets a prize.

And now for the question. Is it possible to OD on those mini-orange thingies? Because Luke ate at least 5 at lunch. Begged me to keep peeling him more. Still wanted more when I said he had enough. Had to bribe him with a cookie to make him stop.
Happy New Years!

Tag-Team Thursday

Ok, a couple more cute stories from this mornings Bible lesson. The boys were tag-team telling stories while looking at our picture book. Picture James trying to tell a story, and then Luke loudly interupting to finnish. Hillarious!

James: Pharo it is no time for lunch, but it looks like he is RACING Moses!!!
Luke: OP DA CACA!!! (Open the water)

James: Johan fell. (very serious tone)
Luke: Jona fell. In caca wi shoes off. Whale spi Jona ou. (Jonah fell. In the water with shoes off. Whale spit Jonah out!)

James: Adam and Eve playing hide and seak. They are by the tree. They are hugging the animals. The mother bird wants to find the baby bird.
Luke: (Flapping wings)

These two make a fun team!
