Check-up

Today at James' check-up he made sure to tell the doctor he ate his veggies because they make him really strong. He also admitted that sometimes he eats "junk food" and appeared relieved when the doctor told him that was ok. Mr. James you are getting so big!

A whole lot a birthdays around here!

Back to back birthdays this past week for James and John.  Lots of cake and ice cream, lots of singing, and a few balloons thrown in for good measure.  Happy Birthday!

West Virginia and France

Tonight James was telling us about Monet. We asked him where he was from, and when he answered "West Virginia" John and I could not stop laughing. Good times at our dinner table!

Fly Mommy

The boys have a new nick-name for me, Fly Mommy. I would like to think it is somehow related to the "Fly Girls" from the show "In Living Color".  When I was younger I always wanted to be a fly girl, they dressed so cool and did really fun dance routines.  Don't judge, clearly my fashion sense improved as I got older:

Sad but true I am named after a Frisbee boat that flies in their new favorite cartoon show.  Why do I get to be Flyboat (and yes that is what it is actually called)?  Because the boys and daddy get to be the actual characters.

Guess it's time to break out the leggings and feather hats.

Painting Project

The boys and I have been enjoying a painting project. Canvas + stencils + paint cup liners = awesome

My mother is a genius and told me to line my paint cups with plastic baggies. Makes for no mess painting and who doesn't like that!?!

Girls Weekend 2012

What a fun time I had visiting some wonderful ladies this past weekend! We ate, we shopped we laughed until we peed our pants. So much fun!

The weekend away was good for so many reasons. But one of the sweetest was the way my kiddos welcomed me home. Not only have they been sweet little angels the past couple of days, but they are giving me lots of extra hugs. So cute! I guess the cure to the terrible three's is to go away for a weekend. Sounds good to me!

Little Bunnies

It's Easter egg hunt time, and I don't want to brag but we are getting pretty good at this egg hunting thing. One egg is all we need, find an egg and eat a treat. Repeat! Let's just say that we found a whopping 15 eggs today. Never mind there were 600+ hidden for 20 kids to find. We were happy with the chocolate and then content to just run off a sugar high. It's the little things in life!
