Happy Valentines Day

This is my early Valentine from James.
At first glance it is not very valentinesy.  Finally I asked for an explanation....mainly what exactly was the assignment from your art teacher.

James (6): We were studying abstract art. I don't remember the guys name but he used lots of big blobs of color. Blue mostly, he was sad.  This is my picture of a robot who wants to destroy valentines day.  I made it with pastels. (Insert pause) oh but don't worry, I killed him with my arrow so we can still give out valentines.

James the brave warrior of love.

Pink Sunshine

If sunshine was pink it would look like this.

And a few funny ideas from the boys while watching pairs figure skating:

Luke: that looks just like mommy and daddy! Mommy, do you know how to do those tricks?

Me: No Luke, but maybe you and Mary can learn to do that when you are older.

James: I would rather do REAL ice skating.  Like the ice skating we did with Eli and Caroline.  That is just dancing in ice.

Stair Climber

She is so proud of herself, and giggles with glee the entire time.  She also wants to be right in the middle if whatever the brothers are doing.  Especially if it looks remotely dangerous.

The boys continue to grow up more each day.  And both are really coming into their own personalities.

Introducing Jorgan

My sweet and handsome nephew Jorgan was born on January 24 and we cannot wait to hold this guy! James and Luke ask everyday when they get to wet their new baby cousin.

Congratulations Morgan and Julia!

Big Asparations

Luke - Mommy, when I grow up can I be the President?

Me: Yes you can. But you need to be 35 and get lots of people to vote for you.

Luke: everyone in the whole world?

Me: no, just the United States.

Luke: Oh, that's easy!

James: When I am 18 I am going to live with Grammy and go to college. And drink Fanta.

Luke for President!

9 month check up

Sweet girl was wonderful....the brothers did not disappoint on their dramatics when she got a heal price or her shots.  The nurse gets a good chuckle every time.

"Why are you hurting her!!"

 " Too much crying!"

" She is not allowed to come back here"

She is moving more everyday. And somehow getting cuter too.  Does anyone care about stats anymore? Leave a comment and  let me know .

Snow Day

Another few inches hit us last night. The boys were thrilled to play outside, and little miss even tried out her snow suit.

She and I decided to stay indoors during all the mayhem. Probably a good choice given the red frozen brothers that returned after 20 minutes. They were victorious, however, as they both got daddy good in the snowball fight.

Standing and Waving

Pretty sure I didn't give my permission for my little girlie to pull up, scoot around or start waving.  Slow down sweetness, you are growing up to fast!

Merry Christmas

Christmas Eve candlelight service was beautiful again this year.  So wonderful to have all five of us together. Luke belted  the carols much to the delight of all those around us. Plus, nothing us caught fire during the last song. Although the young girl in front if us was very worried about her hair....probably for good reason.

The stockings on Christmas Eve with cookies and eggnog and then off to bed. Mary may have enjoyed too many cookies because she helped Daddy and I put all the presents under the tree. She was very sweet and only untied a few ribbons.

Even Zion got some stocking stuffers.

Cinnamon rolls, reading the Christmas story and presents. Such a special time. Luke handmade my present this year . Probably my favorite, although I think he might rope Daddy in to help when I redeem my groupon.

Love it!

Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
