Super Boys
A couple of pictures to appease those want me to start blogging again. It has been a busy couple of weeks in the Turner household.
James is still not very happy when he is posed next to Luke. Although any other time he gets almost giddy when Luke touches his face or hair. Go figure!
Luke's 6 month stats:
Height: 31 inches (100%)
Weight: 17 pounds, 2 ounces (38%)
I can't remember his head circumference off the top of my head...does anyone really care about that anyway?
Hope everyone is enjoying this lovely spring weather!

California Sun
Sorry for the lack of posting, but we have been enjoying the California sun out here at Grammy's house! James is really loving the backyard and all the fun toys that Grammy had waiting for him. What a lucky boy!
Our week in review.
It was a good week for:
*Fun in the sun. There really is something special and bright about the sun in California. It is hard to describe, but it truly is wonderful.
*In and Out Burgers. Delicious! Even James tried a couple of bites, it was that good.
*Meeting up with friends. James loved meeting Kyle and Caleb for the the first time. Plus I loved catching up with my dear friends Stacy and Steve, and sweet baby Callie.
*Spending time with Grammy. James and Luke both love their Grammy and she sure is spoiling them with all the great toys and activities that she has planned for them.
*Easter Egg Hunts: We have had at least one every day. Nothing is better then searching around the garden for plastic eggs.
It was a bad week for:
* Allergies. Just when I was getting used to the pollen in Virginia, I switched coasts and now have a whole new round to fight.
*Time differences. The boys took a while to adjust. Let's just say we were having some pretty early mornings for the first few days. Last night everyone slept soundly for the first time.
*Missing Daddy. James is missing his daddy and points him out in every picture that he sees.

Planes, Trucks and Automobiles
The weather was so beautiful and the boys were so agreeable outside. James loves his new truck and airplane, big hits from our local consignment sale.
Also, today is day 3 of James refusing his nap. He may catch a quick 20 minutes in the car (if I am lucky) while we are out running errands. The one upside to no nap is he doesn't budge from his room for at least 12 hours. Although it means I am extra tired by the end of the day with my little "helper" following me around non-stop. So the quest is on to start a "quiet time" for James so I can have a little breather. So I invested in a handy doorknob thingy (see below).
So we are now taking bets...how long will it take James to figure out how to escape from his room?
Also, for your viewing enjoyment check out Katherine Klegin's photography here..might see someone you recognize.

Little Bunny Foo Foo
James is probably the cutest little bunny hopping around in this bath robe. For some reason I don't pull it out often enough, but each time he is so cute. The collage below has pictures from when he was 9 months.

Beam me up, Scotty
The resemblance is uncanny... and no, I have no idea why he likes Paige's headbands. What is almost more intriguing is how Paige knew right off the bat that the Star Trek character's name was Geordi LaForge. I am currently developing my strategy to ensure this house isn't turned into a Treky stronghold. Warp speed ahead!

Good Morning!
So this morning Luke was sleeping in (as the norm) and James and I went downstairs for a quiet breakfast. After breakfast I was putting the dishes away and suddenly realized I couldn't hear James. I hoped with all my might he was just quietly playing books, but realistically knew James doesn't do anything quietly. Guess where I found him....
Yup, that's Luke's room. There he is standing by the crib.
I don't know if he woke Luke up, or if he heard Luke talking to himself and went to check things out. Although my guess is he wanted to play with Luke's crib toys.
But Luke was happy to see him!
And ignore my double chin in this picture and focus on my youngest son. He is really starting to hold his head all on his own! Oh Luke, I am so proud of you!

Cereal, Rolling and Bubbles
Today was quite a day for my little men. We started out the morning will lots of sniffles and coughing, poor guys have been sick all weekend. Although we still managed to have some fun.
Saturday Luke had his first taste of rice cereal, and today when he saw me get it out he looked a little excited. He only ate about 5 spoonfuls each day, but it's a start!

Luke is also really starting to roll around. Tonight he amazed me by rolling after his ball all by himself with no help. It may not seem like much, but for Luke this is a huge improvement. I am so proud of my little boy! (note the tape on his back is part of his physical therapy)
James drained all the water from his bath, but then didn't want to get out. Silly boy! He was surrounded by toys and bubbles and had a great time.
And here is the amazing Luke again lifting his feet up. He loves those toes!
