Walking Around

Jay is starting to enjoy his walker. Right now the front room is empty, so it is the perfect place for him to practice scooting around. Sometimes he laughs and sometimes he cries. If I can catch his laugh on video I will post it. I think it is my favorite sound in the whole wide world!

So yesterday I was trying out a new floor vacuum that my mother sent us. Jay really wanted to be held, and I really wanted to get the floors a little cleaner. Those who know me know that I don't enjoy cleaning floors. But with my baby boy growing so fast I think I need to learn to love cleaning floors before he starts to crawl and becomes covered in dog hair. Thanks Zion! So I threw him into my metro wrap and away we went vacuuming the house. I think he rather liked it because he kept giggling and kicking his feet. The giggling was super
cute, but the swinging feet hit me in the stomach. Not so fun. All in all, the floors are cleaner and that is a very good thing!

I was wondering what the clicking noise was until I realized it was Zion's claws on the hardwood. I bet he's missing his carpet! Funny story: when I was a kid I refused to walk but when we moved to a new house you couldn't stop me! My parents think it was because the old house had hard floors, and the new place had really soft padded carpet. I think maybe I just wasn't ready.

It will be really fun to watch James learn to master his walker. Morgan really enjoyed his walker and could go around our house like greased lightning. James looks so much like Uncle Morgan that it brings back many sweet moments to me.
