We have had a couple of traumatic moments this past week that James cannot stop talking about. The first was a couple nights ago in the tub. James was really embarrassed when he tinkled in the tub. Really embarrassed. Now he is blaming the whole event on Zion. "Puppy needs a bath. Puppy pee pee in the bath."
The second was last night when he bonked his head on the mailbox. He did hit it pretty hard and got a good scratch. All morning he has been telling me it was the mailbox's fault that he bonked his head. "James bonk head on mailbox. Bonk head! Mailbox fault. So sad."

And finally he has had an ongoing obsession with the Disney moving Cars. (see his current favorite pjs in picture) He requests to watch this movie every day, and I usually let him watch a few minutes as a treat if he is a good boy. There is a scary part of the movie where McQueen and Mater are chased by a bull (grain thresher) after tipping over the cows (tractors). James hates that part. Before I even can press play he is already telling me "Car movie! NO BULLS. NO TRACS." So if I don't really want him to watch TV I can just turn on that part of the movie and he will turn off the TV himself. Is that bad?
Here is Zion with his new best buddy. Luke is purposley feeding him. Zion loves it and Luke giggles the whole time. Very cute. Although when I scolded Luke for feeding the puppy (not really a habbit I want him to have) he gave me this face:
Guess I need to work on my scolding voice.

I really laughed at James' new skill of blaming Zion and objects for his problems. His sentence length is increasing and soon he'll learn to blame his little brother too. James looks cozy in hi new pj's and Luke looks happy playing cars and feeding Zion.
hahaha! They are so cute and lovable - I could hardly keep a straight face when John was trying to discipline James in Ithaca. You can just see James looking for ways to wiggle out of it - and now he thinks he's found one! Looks like disciplining is a squirrelly endeavor. I had no idea parents and kids had to be so clever about it. Good TV strategy.
:-)! Julia
I'm laughing so hard at James. He is funny! That movie is Eli's favorite too. Except, he always wants that scene James hates and calls it "Funny cows" b/c of the part where they tip the cows right before the scary guy comes to get them. Luke's expression was classic! Guess you need to get a little meaner!
Hahaha your boys are too cute. I love that James was embarrassed that he tinkled in the tub. I was under the impression that all men did that anyway, so he has nothing to be embarrassed about. :-P Looks like Luke is as tall as James! Sweet sweet boys.
That's funny! Marc and I watched Cars last night and I don't remember that part . . . could be because I took a little snooze during the middle.
I think you are one clever mommy to get him to turn off the tv. ;o)
You totally hit the nail on the head with my frustration lately...Leah thinks my "discipline" mean voice is hilarious, so I can't help you on that one.
