Happy Halloween!

Superman and Spiderman. I still can't believe we actually convinced James to wear a costume. But when we told him he got to go visit Uncle Dan and Auntie Tine and get candy, that sealed the deal.

James polished off 2 bags of M&M's very happily! Then he helped Auntie Tine hand out candy, and for each piece she gave out he made sure to grab one for his pumpkin.

I love my little superheros! Happy Halloween!

From Ma to Mommy

Today is a momentous day for James and I. Today he has started to call me Mommy. That's right friends, now I get 2 syllables just like the rest of the family. We have Daddy, Luker, Puppy Doggie and now Mommy. Love it!

Something Silly

A little something to make you giggle. I have been having a little too much fun making montages.

Side note: When I was pregnant with Luke I had a sudden craving for a V8 while at Costco. Then 2 days later couldn't stand the stuff. So we have a few extra cans lying around.

Enjoy!

Luke

Fun at the Flu Clinic

Today the boys and I braved the flu clinic to try and get shots for both James and myself. We found a Tuesday morning clinic close by so we made appointments. The first 10 minutes we were in line James continued to fake cough and say very loudly, "I cough". I got a few weird looks from the mothers around us. So I said (a little louder so surrounding people could hear) "Stop your fake cough, you are not sick silly boy!". Then James would giggle. And I would feel a few less stares in our direction.

James was very brave, and stopped crying the instant the nurse handed him a lollipop. Then Luke started to fuss and she handed him one. Ah, silence! It is amazing what powers a lollipop has to soothe.

Below pictures of Luke's big boy room. For some reason I stuck with the same "aeronautical theme" as James room.

Help!

James and Luke LOVE to play in James' room. Today I snuck out quietly and went down the hall. A few minutes went by and Luke started to fuss. It was clearly the "where did mommy go" fuss, so I didn't hop right up to check on them. A minute later, Luke is still fussing and James comes running into my room and exclaims,

"Luker crying! Ma fix Luker."

And when I didn't move fast enough he told me,

"Luker NEED Ma!".

It's good to know James is watching out for his brother!

Birthday Party!

Today we had a bunch of friends over to celebrate Luke's first birthday. Boy did we have a fun time! A day full of toys, pumpkins and ice-cream cake. What more could a boy want?

I cannot tell a lie

James has been talking up a storm lately. Sometimes we have no idea what he is trying to tell us, other times we can actually have a full conversation with him. This is such a fun age!

Here are some funny things James has said this past week.

Me: James, you are such a good boy to eat all your lunch!
James: Puppy eat pizza! (said while clapping)
Me: How did puppy get the pizza?
James: James throw pizza. Puppy eat pizza. Good puppy doggie!

Oh, well. At least he is honest.

Me: James would like some ice-cream cake for dessert?
James: No!
Me: No thank you?
James: No thank you Ma. No need ice-cream cake. Need cars!

Luke got an ice-cream cake for his birthday. He LOVED it. Not his first cake, but it was his first ice-cream cake.

It is so hard to believe that one year ago we first met our sweet Luke William! Now we can't even imagine life without him. Happy Birthday Luke!

Rear View Mirror

This is my view in my rear view mirror. What cuties! And, they are both angels in the car now, as long as James gets to pick the music. Right now we like "Red Car Song" aka "Life is Highway" by Rascal Flats. You know, the song used in the Disney Car Movie. We like to hear it over and over and over. But it keeps them quiet so I will listen to it happily!

Finally turned Luke around. His legs are sooooo long that I felt terrible making him stay rear facing. Seriously I think he was kissing his knees he was so bent up. He loves his new view!

Brothers

What pretty eyes these boys have! One with brown and one with blue!

We have had an uneventful week, although the boys have decided to switch eating habits. James suddenly can't get enough and Luke is not too interested. These boys sure do keep me on my toes!

Cute Hat

Fall weather means it is time for cute hats and sweaters! Hooray! I found this hat recently at a consignment sale and love it on Luke. Isn't he a cutie pie?

Trouble with a Capital T

OH NO!

Look what James finally figured out he could do.

Not sure what we are going to do now.

Coincidentally his shirt today read: Trouble is my middle name.
James Trouble Turner. Yup, sounds about right!
