Tag-Team Thursday

Ok, a couple more cute stories from this mornings Bible lesson. The boys were tag-team telling stories while looking at our picture book. Picture James trying to tell a story, and then Luke loudly interupting to finnish. Hillarious!

James: Pharo it is no time for lunch, but it looks like he is RACING Moses!!!
Luke: OP DA CACA!!! (Open the water)

James: Johan fell. (very serious tone)
Luke: Jona fell. In caca wi shoes off. Whale spi Jona ou. (Jonah fell. In the water with shoes off. Whale spit Jonah out!)

James: Adam and Eve playing hide and seak. They are by the tree. They are hugging the animals. The mother bird wants to find the baby bird.
Luke: (Flapping wings)

These two make a fun team!

Wednesday's Wisdom

A little wisdom for your Wednesday courtesy of our Bible lesson this morning:

Luke's wisdom from the parable of the loaves and fishes: "Jeje foo evnnn, e fro fro no man."
(Translation: Jesus fed everyone, even frosty the snow man.)
James wisdom regarding Noah: " Noah built the floating ark AND a slip and slide." (Side note: This is James' new face for pictures. Nice.)
And a little what we wore Wednesday, because I am a glutton for embarrassment. Whatever, these kids are so cute it doesn't matter what they wear.
James sporting his red car sweatshirt and red car jammy pants. Luke in a blue fleece pullover and green/blue plaid fleece pants.

Is that really the same outfit for James two Wednesdays in a row? Yes, yes it is. What can I say, he loves that sweatshirt. And, we are still on vacation because all our therapies/activities are off until next week. Yippee!

Tasteless Tuesday

As you all know, I have a tendency to dress my children in a mismatched way. When venturing out into the world, we almost always have to change out of our "home" clothes into something a little more suited to being in public. Today is no exception, welcome to Tasteless Tuesday.

A picture is worth a thousand words....
...good grief is he really wearing yellow socks, bright red thermals, and too short sweat pants?

James somehow looks semi-decent. Almost matching. Must be his super power.

Even superheros take time to build with duplo. Here is Luke attempting to hide his hideous outfit under a cape.

If I had posted yesterday it would have been meltdown Monday. I was "that parent" with the SCREAMING child at the post office. All eyes on us as my eldest screamed his little heart out. Luke, meanwhile, just looked at him like he was crazy. We exited quickly and let John finish our business. Perhaps that is why we will be home all day in our jammies. I can't be "that mom" two days in a row.

From our home to yours...

Merry Christmas!

And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying,
Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

New Scarves

I knit the boys little blue scarves. I think they are adorable, and just the right size for my little guys.

James preferred to wear his like a pirate.
Luke was probably the most excited, even though you can't tell in the pictures. He wore it all night and kept saying he was "fro fro mo-man" (Frosty the snowman).

Happy Christmas Eve to all!

Breakfast Questions and WTWW

A little what they wore Wednesday(WTWW). It is Christmas time and we have no appointments, therapies, church events or playgroups to attend. All of us are still in PJs. Love it!

This morning Luke is sporting his "toy story" sweatshirt and his "astronaut" pj pants. He loves cowboy and astronaut even though he has never seen the movie. Mommy is saving that one for when they are older.

James is wearing a similar sweatshirt with cars from the Disney Car movie. James has seen this movie and also loves the characters. PJ pants are camo fleece.
Luke being goofy.
James joining in on the goofiness.

And finally, James asks Luke questions every morning before breakfast. I caught it today at lunch time. I have no idea where he learned this, but I think it is hilarious.

Snow

Something exciting happened this morning....it started to snow! Two little boys watched and got excited about snowball fights and snow angels and frosty the snowman.
So after lunch we bundled up and decided to check it out.
Well, at least James and I decided it would be fun to check it out.
Luke refused to come outside. At first.

Then I asked him why he wouldn't come out.

"Nee RaRa come in no-no!" (Translation: Need ZiZi to come in snow!)

And then we were all outside having fun.Even Zion.
For all of 10 minutes before Mommy decided she had enough of chasing 3 critters in the snow. Let's just say Daddy better be ready to get some boots on when he comes home, because these boys are ready to go back outside.

Christmas time is here!

It is beginning to feel like Christmas in our house....the stockings are carefully hung on the banister and the tree and garlands are lit and decorated. Best of all the Christmas cards are starting to arrive. I love Christmas cards. I even have an album of years past....kinda nerdy but really fun to look through. Notice the "Christmas caterpillars". We made these a while ago, and James really wanted to hang them on the tree, but had to settle on a table to display as they didn't balance well on the branches. Also we have wise men coming to see baby Jesus in cars and trucks. These boys are pretty funny!

Although my favorite thing is how the kids are really enjoying the Christmas story. Here it is in James words:

The wise men followed a star to baby Jesus' birthday party and brought him presents. There were no rooms in the inn so Jesus had to sleep in the animal's feeding box. Baby Jesus wasn't hungry, he just wanted to sleep. Mother Mary and Daddy Joseph said happy birthday baby Jesus.

James' Choir Debut

Tonight was James' first choir performance with the "Angelic Threes". He did such a GREAT job and we are so proud of him. He sang both songs the whole way through, even "played" his bells. There was even a stage change so he could stand next to a pretty girl for the second song. Hillarious!
