James and Luke have always encouraged each other. Something that I love about their relationship. When Luke was learning to crawl/walk/jump James was his biggest motivation. If James could do it, Luke wanted to try. Similarly, when James has a hard time answering questions or is a little shy, Luke is right there to shout out the answers or hold his hand. Such sweet brothers.
So imagine my surprise when Luke started having an interest in learning James' sight words. My sweet boy who I thought was colorblind because until just recently he refused to learn his colors, who has no interest in learning his ABCs and is quite content just playing and coloring. Yes, my 2 1/2 year old is interested in sight words...why? Well that is simple. Because big brother is totally jazzed about sight words. Love it!

They certainly are having fun playing with the flashcard words.
That's so awesome! I was just thinking about James' amazing spelling/memorizing abilities. I always mis-spell the words "license" and "acquire" on the first go. Not sure why, but you should have James and Luke memorize those two. :o) Julia

And "adviser" (I always want to spell Ad + visor, like a math covered sun shade) Geez... These aren't even big impressive looking words! Looks like James will have a lot to teach his Auntie Julia!

Wow! I'm so impressed. What have you done to teach them all those sight words? That's awesome.
I think that Luke could learn anything with some candy. What colors are on candy corn?
