Close

We like to play close together. I mean really close. There we are all squeezed into three square feet of carpet.

It's not like we don't have plenty of space.

Bath time buddies

Everything is more fun with your brother!

James hasn't liked taking a bath for months, but today when he saw Luke in there I couldn't get him in the tub fast enough. They splashed, giggled and played footsie. James even dumped a whole cup of water over Luke's head and Luke just giggled. These two are perfect for each other. It makes my heart so happy!

Lost and Found

Baby horse has been missing for a few days. This was extremely distressing to James. So we had to start playing other games with the horses, just to distract him. But out of all 12 horses, he knows exactly which one is missing every time. I searched high and low for this horse and was contemplating buying a whole new set just for the missing horse.

But this morning who should we find...but our beloved baby horse! He must have come out of hiding because he got hungry. He and James worked very hard at cutting fruit.

Baby horse tried all the fruit, and then settled down for a nap. Shhhhh, he's sleeping!

Baby Ho Ho

Let me introduce you to Baby Ho Ho (Baby Horse).

James carries him all over the house. And he tells Luke and I to be quiet when sweet baby horse is sleeping. He also rocks the horse and dances with him to music. Baby Horse got a great breakfast this morning, courtesy of James.

James finished off whatever was in the pot.

In other news, Luke is still the cutest baby boy ever.

And he has very long legs!

Burke Lake

Family trip to Burke Lake = Playgrounds + Snacks in the Double Stroller + Lots of "fresh" air + sharing an ice-cream cone

treats + playgrounds + fresh air = Happy kids

Happy kids + Happy dogie = Happy Parents

Love it!

Addendum: A picture of Luke with his first taste of icecream. James is my dainty eater and barely gets enough in his bit to taste the icecream. Luke, on the other hand, tried to face plant in the icecream. It was that good. Then he kept grabbing my hand so I couldn't move it away. Mmmm, icecream!
