More Ducks!

Today we ventured out to the National Zoo. We can't believe that this is the first time we have visited since we moved to DC. Crazy! We had a great time and the boys really enjoyed all the sights. James especially liked seeing the ducks and kept asking to see more ducks! He also made good use of the water misters they had periodically along the path. It was a hot day and we all would run through to cool off. Luke didn't quite enjoy them as much as the rest of us.

James had the best seat for most of the exhibits!

Luke loved facing out and seeing the crowds and animals. He was a wiggly and giggly baby the entire time. He also had a great time sucking on some ice to cool off. I though his lips might turn blue they were so cold, but he kept asking for more.

The flamingos were one of James' favorites because you got really close to their cage.

Here I am with my little guys. The flamingo's have always been my personal favorite. Who do you think has longer legs...Luke or the flamingos?

Here we are at the last exhibit we made it to. James yelled TUR-TLE when he saw this big guy. But judging by his face in this picture I am glad we headed home after seeing the turtles.

We were all exhausted after our fun trip to the zoo! We can't wait to go again soon!

What a fun day!!! Luke looks so cute in the blue hat and it looks like he is putting on weight. James looks hot and exhausted at the end of the day. Parents look like they had fun too! The water misters look great and not a bad idea for a backyard.

Im guessing Luke has longer legs then the flamingos. Looks like both boys enoyed this outing. I agreed with Ellen, a water mister for the backyard would be neat to have.

We vote for water misters AND pink flamingos for the backyard.

Your comment on whose legs are longer made me laugh out loud! That is kind of what my legs looked like as a child, only mine were skinnier. My grandma always thought I had cancer
Those boys are SO CUTE!!!
